Sox manager Will Venable confirmed the plan, stating, "He'll be ready Thursday. We're being cautious, but he's been swinging and running today. If it wasn't March 2, he'd probably be playing already."

"We're not getting any younger, and sometimes it feels like one injury after another," he said.
When asked about the Sox's ongoing rebuild, Benintendi offered an insightful perspective: "We're a couple of years into it now, and it feels less like a rebuild. Guys are solidifying their roles. We've brought in a lot of new talent, and this year will be crucial for many of us returning."
